Whether it’s the roads you travel on, the bridges you cross, the tunnels you whisk through, the subway systems you ride...or the buildings and complexes where you work, receive medical care, view sporting events...or the dams, pipelines, oil refineries and rigs, and petro-chemical plants you rely on for water and energy needs...or programs to rid your schools and communities of asbestos and hazardous materials and waste... It’s a good bet they were built and are operated and serviced by members of the International Union of Operating Engineers.

We Offer Training

As you browse through our web site you will have an opportunity to see that we are providing upgrade training to our members as well as providing a quality apprenticeship program for new members coming into the Union.

We also have a very aggressive organizing program in place. This assures a high standard of living to our members and offers the same opportunity to other workers who perform operating engineer type work in our jurisdiction for their current employers.

Know More Organizing Faq

IUOE is a trade union representing all of these workers: from the heavy equipment operators and mechanics in the construction industry, to the stationary engineers—those who maintain and operate building and industrial complexes and service industries throughout the United States and Canada.
